Lobster Mushroom Recipe: Butter-Braised Slow and Low
With Lobster mushrooms, there are usually so many odd-shaped bits and pieces. This recipe is perfect for them and is so easy. Slowly braise the pieces in butter over low heat. But there is a secret ingredient, too, that is completely free. The result is amazing -- crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside! It's fantastic. But that's not all! There's a lot of flavor in the cooking pan, after the Lobster mushrooms are ready to eat. Don't waste that goodness! I like making a quick 1-egg omelette, more like a crepe. I add some wild chives, but the rest of the flavor and the nice orange color on the crepe comes from the lobster mushroom butter from the slow and low braising. ---------------------------- Have you ever found Lobster mushrooms in the forest or for sale somewhere?
